iPod and Volkswagen Beetle unite
July 15, 2003 - 07:12 PDT   Volkswagen has announced that it is pairing with Apple to provide 2003 New Beetle sedan buyers with a complimentary iPod, the world's top-selling digital music player, according to the press release. The two companies have dubbed the new initiative: "Pods Unite." The pairing begins today and will be featured prominently in a TV, local radio and newspaper, nationwide print, broadcast media and e-commerce campaign, through the end of September.
