iRecordNow turns iSight into digital camcorder
October 30, 2003 - 20:23 PST
Boinx Software has announced the release of iRecordNow 1.0, new software that offers an easy way to use an iSight FireWire camera to record video. According to the developers, the US$14.95 product features a simple, one-button interface: "You press the record button, it starts recording, you press the button again and it stops and creates a clip file on your computer." The format of the clips and the compression can be determined by choosing one of several predefined settings. The movie clips can then be imported into iMovie or Final Cut Pro for postproduction. iRecordNow also lets you control camera properties such as brightness, saturation and color hue.
