iPhoto, iMovie no longer free downloads [updated]
January 6, 2004 - 18:27 PST
With the introduction of iLife '04 today, Apple has quietly removed the download pages for iPhoto and iMovie. Presumably, the two applications will no longer be available as free downloads. Instead, they will now only be available in the US$49 iLife '04 suite, which bundles full versions of iPhoto and iMovie along with the new GarageBand, iDVD and iTunes. iLife will continue to be free with new Mac purchases. Update: Apple's Lara Vacante confirmed to MacMinute that iPhoto and iMovie will not continue to be free downloads.
