Apple planning Austin, TX retail store
January 17, 2004 - 22:25 PST
The Austin American-Statesman notes that "it looks like Apple is about to open a store in Dell's back yard." The paper reports that Apple's Web site currently lists several job openings for an Apple Store at Barton Creek Square mall. "It's unclear where in the mall the new store will be located or when it will open." This would be Apple's fourth retail store in the state. [Thanks to Carleton Britt for this news tip.]
