Analyst: iPod to account for $1 billion in Apple revenue

In a research report released Monday, Merrill Lynch analyst Steven Milunovich said that revenue from iPods should be around US$1 billion this year, and by 2006, he estimates revenue for the iPod could double to $2 billion. Milunovich said the success of the iPod demonstrates Apple's "tech know-how and strong brand" and could make the company "relevant again."
