Super Cantenna tech comes to Airport users
April 14, 2004 - 20:35 PDT   QuickerTek and Wireless Garden are teaming up to bring Super Cantenna directional wireless antenna technology to Airport users. Super Cantenna is a 12dbi 2.4GHz directional wireless antenna that purportedly pulls in signals in environments where Airport and Airport Extreme users have had difficulty making connections in the past. The Super Cantenna consists of: a 12-inch main tube antenna body that's made from weather-resistant UV coated metal and which can be mounted outside; cables that attach directly to a computer or Airport Base Station; and impedance adapters and user/installation instructions. An optional eight-foot, low-loss extension cable is also available. Prices range from US$69.95 to $149.95 for standard Cantenna products.  [ Email this story ]
