Pittsburgh Apple Store gets go-ahead
May 14, 2004 - 13:56 PDT
The Pittsburgh City Planning Commission approved Apple's plans for its Pittsburgh retail store on April 20. The Apple Store will be located at 5508 Walnut Street in the Shadyside section of the city. MacMinute reader Scott Kleinberg notes that it will occupy what was once an art gallery near a Gap and Starbucks. Kleinberg also pointed out an interesting tidbit: "On the minutes for the meeting, this is referred to as the 'IPOD Project Development Plan' and never mentions Apple by name."
