LaCie rolls out d2 Extreme with Triple Interface

LaCie today announced its newest hard drive series--the d2 Extreme with Triple Interface. The drives offer FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces; a 7200rpm 8MB buffer; and come in capacities of 160GB (US$199), 200GB ($249) and 250GB ($279). The LaCie d2 Extreme with Triple Interface comes in the distinct d2 design made of sturdy aluminum alloy that offers improved heat dissipation to help prolong the life of the drive. The d2 Extreme drives will be available later this month in the US, and November worldwide. LaCie also said that even larger capacities will be arriving this winter.
