Apple increases .Mac storage
September 29, 2004 - 10:54 PDT
Apple on Wednesday quietly increased the amount of online storage available to .Mac members. "The combined storage for your .Mac Mail and iDisk has been increased to 250 MB," reads a note on the company's web site. "That means you now have additional room for your email messages and mail attachments, web pages, and backups. Need even more storage? You also have the option of upgrading your .Mac account to 1 GB for US$49.95 per year." Previously, the iDisk storage limit was 100MB and the email limit was 15MB. In addition, Apple said it increased the maximum email message size to 10 MB and noted that every email-only .Mac account now comes with 50 MB of mail storage.
