October 19, 2004 - 07:43 PDT
Targus has announced the Notebook ChillHub, a fan-based notebook cooling pad with an integrated four-port USB 2.0 hub. The ChillHub implements a two-fan cooling system to silently draw heat from the notebook and prevent the CPU from overheating during use, and the four-port USB 2.0 hub supports low-speed, full-speed and hi-speed throughput. In addition, the device fits directly under a laptop and can be powered by the computer using the included upstream cable, or by the included AC adapter. The ChillHub is available now for a suggested retail price of US$49.99 and includes a one-year warranty.
