Yahoo more than doubles free email storage
November 16, 2004 - 08:46 PST
Yahoo plans to more than double its free email storage limits, reports the Associated Press. As of Monday, members will receive up to 250 MB of free storage, up from the current limit of 100 MB. The move is an obvious reaction to Microsoft's recent free storage boost for Hotmail to 250 MB and Google's current 1 GB limit. "Besides increasing storage limits, Yahoo says it has upgraded the tools for verifying the identities of e-mailers and improved the features used to search e-mail content," notes the report.
